I don't know, but just reading your post makes me angry for you. This would give me a heart attack with stress. I am only 24. Were you using the shed? was it yours?

Surveyors can be wrong. I worked for new home builders, there were multiple instances over a few years where they mis-measured setbacks, improperly placed property pins, etc. I'd get a second opinion.
Also, check your zoning, as others have said. They may not have the right to come right to the edge of 'your' property. You may have other rights you could exercise. Good luck!

I concur with the opinion that you need to get an independent survey done. If the new owner's survey was wrong, you may have some recourse. If the new owner's survey is correct, the person who you need to be angry with is the person who misrepresented your lot when they sold it to you.
If there is no other choice than to have a sawmill as a neighbor, I suggest you make friends and see if you can wrangle some free shavings out of them, for keeping you in fresh bedding for your chickens for life. Making lemonade out of lemons if it's possible, you know?
