I've decided to move forward with calling him "Thing 1". It appeals to my lazy side, as I can call future kids "Thing #".

LOL!! This is funny... in the most awful sort of way.That's why God have you the equipment to feed two. You don't push the first baby off till the third baby latches on. Then the first better start eating.
Less than 100 years ago it was common for a mother to have a baby sucking from each side, for 10-20 years of her life. They had to have big families back then just to be able to make it.
Hopefully he will self-wean! The milk changes as pregnancy progresses, a lot of the time they decide they just don't like it so much anymore.In June, but I've been in the process of slowly cutting the Milk Drinker off for the past 2-3 months or so. I started getting really touched out and he wanted to nurse 6-7 times a day. I have him cut back to morning and bedtime now, which is MUCH more manageable.
