Both of our dogs are dying to get in there and eat them. Unfortunately as a result of that, we aren't able to let them out to free range without the fear that one of us will accidentally let the dogs out and end up with a pile of dead birds.Though you are better off he runs, I have dogs that would like to snack on mine, so constant supervision, which is hard, my chickens free range, but mine are young and are at least growing out of it, though none of my chickens are silly enough to chase the dogs, your rooster is full of himself.
I think that the dog was more shocked than anything. When I went out this morning to give them some treats, the dog stood next to the doors to the run drooling.
