We originally started a backyard flock in the late ‘90s. We kept chickens for 10+ years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then over the course of a few days a neighbor’s dog got to our flock and it was gone. At the time our business was becoming bigger so we didn’t restock the flock. Now we are retired and have moved to the mountains of north Georgia. After a few months here I decided I wasn’t ready to completely retire and ended up getting a part time job at Tractor Supply in Blue Ridge. Of course, being around the baby chicks was more than I could take and I ended up bringing home 8 chicks. In order to make things easier, I ordered a Snaplock coop that should get here next week. Currently the chicks are in a dog crate in the garage and we are really enjoying our second foray into chickens!
