New / old to BYC A duck mama now !

Just hopped on to BYC have not been here in years . Moved in to care for my father until he passes as we just lost mom last year. Hes 86 and wanted baby ducks so I need to learn as much as I can about these tiny little creatures so I do as well as I did with my chicks. I incubated chicks and fell in love with it and got ulcers from checking them a million times a day lol. I read that ducks are way different so I'm off and reading as much as my brain can handle. I thought I would go insane but now I have something to help relax me . Thanks for being here for me and our baby ducks . By the way they are like mallards but domesticated I was told. Can't remember there name so I will be looking that up too. 4 little Indians sitting in there teepees lol can't wait to take them outside as the weather gets better. We live on a lake so I'm in hopes they will not swim away. I'm not letting them out of my site until I know they willl listen to us and come when called . I did eat my chickens and eggs but not to sure about eating these. I will be eating the eggs but not sure about dinner for two duck soup lol. Maybe when they have babies and I'm not speaking of bloots . Hope I learn as much as I can to be a good mom .

Your happy face is funny how come I can't get them on my tablet? The ones they have are not cute or do they move . Sorry not that savy with the computer , have short term memory loss from a stroke years ago. Have to learn all over again and it's going slow lol. This is how
