So this website first of all has been a savior to my first flocks. Ducks and chickens included. Unfortunately with the amount of land I have I am prone to predators and this first set of birds I've learned a lot. I lost my sweet pekin Zipper to a coon, then a couple of days later one even dragged my chicken through the actual chicken wire. They are only about 2.5 months old, as well as the ducks were. All hand raised in my home until they moved to their enclosures outside. I double reinforced the coups for the ducks and chickens. I recently purchased two new pekins for my lonely duck after what she went through and the introduction was instantaneous and amazing. The problem I have is trying to bond with the new ducks who have never been handled. Fro my big girl is about 2.5 months but the new girls are about a month so just white but still fluffy. They hate human contact. Do I still have time to help them bond to me like Fro and what Zipper did because I raised them by hand. They are so skiddish of me even when fro comes to eat from my hand and love on me. Thank you ducky owners!!

So smart of you to get Fro some new friends! I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions from the experts here. My only advice would be to just let them come to you - keep treats handy for when they do - refrain from touching them and picking them up for a while until they know you are safe - and let them see that Fro isn't afraid of you. They're probably still in the duckling timid phase that will pass soon. HAVE FUN with your new babies!
