Hi yall wanted update on the lil flock. My blk sex links are 8 weeks going on 9 now. I made a pull down shade on their coop for them. The sun comes up in the morning in the front of my house and bass goes down in the back..I have no shade. So by reading on here I came up with my plan. I live on ssi since im disabled with severe fibromyalgia. My chickens are my therapy and purpose to move and motivate. I have heavy duty upholstery fabris with a rubber backing white one side black on the other. Put white facing out to reflect. They love it. No more baked chicken. We free range in the yard all morning before the sun comes over the house and bit gets 90 some. I put frozen soda bottles in their water feeder. And wrap a big one in a cloth bag for them to lie near. They used to me picking them up now. I made a outside portable play yard for the baby silkies by cutting boxes and taping them together to make a playpen yard so I could catch them quicker and they could learn to free range in my insecticide free yard. I bought DE for the links and their coop and run and the flies have died back and their itch has died back. I put some healthy dried herbs in their coop (ones that if they ate would be good for them and wouldnt hurt them). Yall have helped me immensely. ..Thank you soooo much...may good things all repay your kindness
