Built and installed my new oyster shell feeder today! It is a perfect size, hold one 5 pound bag.

It was easy list of items needed,

1. about 3 feet of 2 inch irrigation pipe
2. one 90 degree sweep, do not use a 90 degree elbow, the sweep allows the feed to flow easier
3. 2 - 2 inch coupling, one end glue and the other threaded for the caps
4 2 caps (threaded)

I put a threaded cap on the bottom so I could take and clean it out when needed. If anyone needs closer pics let me know.

Thanks for the comments.

that's very neat, but i don't understand the use of screw caps... did you glue it all together..? PVC fits pretty snug just pressed together... i've been thinking about making some for egg shell too, but i'll just use caps and when it needs cleaning i'll just take it all apart...

but i'm sure you have your reasons... maybe your birds are monsters and destroy stuff like my shamo... HAHAHAHA...

It is all glued together and the screw caps on both ends allow me to completely clean it out when needed. The caps just pressed on without glue will work just as good, I just like the screw caps but costs are about the same.
