I have 6 peeps that are 3-4 weeks old. I just got 3 new peeps that are only one week old. I thought that they'd all just blend in when they're so young, but my a couple of my older peeps won't accept my new ones, and are being mean to them. What's the best way for me to integrate my new peeps in with the older ones without them getting hurt?

Hi there & welcome! I take it everyone is in a brooder of sorts? Divide down the middle with 1/2 inch hardware wire. That way they can see each other but can't get into mischief. It doesn't have to be hardware wire, but it needs to be able to stand up to rambunctious adolescent chicks!

I just divided my brooder today with 2x4 welded wire...the 3 weeks olds can't fit thru it, so it will be safe when the day olds get here next week.

Thank you. My husband and I made a divided brooder by taking two totes, cutting a big hole for a window and putting wire in it with wood around it like a frame so no one gets scratched. Then we cut the end off of the other tote and slid them together. They're getting to know each other now, plus they can all stay under one light. Thanks so much for the advice everyone!
