I'm hoping to keep my head on straight and take pics along the way to post as we go. We shall see if I actually remember it or if we just blow through and build it. LOL Its going to be an 8ft long 4ft wide coop divided in the middle. This is a temp coop as we plan on selling our house shortly and once we move the ducks will get the entire coop and the chickens will get a larger one built up so I can add more chickens.

So, started on the build yesterday but we got washed out by a lot of rain. We at least got the basic base built so I can wrap my head around how big/small it will be. Also took pics of the ladies in the tub. Let them make a mess of the bathroom while I cleaned the brooder box.. We also have some Driveway gravel/filler in the run area but we will be adding 6-8" of something on top of it. just not sure what. We wanted to ensure drainage and not a huge mud puddle as this area will also house chickens.

They are proper cute! I sometimes wish we’d gone ducklings, would have loved the experience but we wanted to avoid having multiple drakes... didn’t work out so well!

We ended up with ducks for the same reason - OH wanted chickens, so I suggested ducks!
