Oh wow - great to see you here sir! I am the one who posted the link to your game camera blog. Let's just say I am a big fan - I've been following your blog for months now. You've inspired me to bug my husband for a game camera. We live on the borders of a national park, which is also right smack in the middle of a big urban area, and I am dying to know what passes through our yard at night.

Congratulations.

Coop building time. (You know you've got a corner of your lot where you want to put one)

That way you'll be able to get... MORE CHICKENS!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I've lived on a farm most of my life and retired now so 2 chickens give me a couple of eggs a day, which works out fine.

Felisitas, Glad you like my blog, I have around 20 cameras and it gives me a chance to get out in the woods and learn about the animals. It's more addictive than chickens LOL

andehens, yep, still waiting for the owl.

I LOVE IT.

Don't worry; all of us are great enablers, and you'll have way more than two chickens by this time next year.

Welcome, welcome!

I started with the Delightful Dozen, assuming that some would not "make it" from chickhood and that some would be roos and need to be "culled". So not the case, the Delightful Dozen are in the yard from 7 am until dark and supply us with fantastic entertainment.

Again Welcome!
