Did you upgrade your tank? I saw where Rainbow was in a 1 gallon tank with no heat. You should really get a better tank setup before you get a new fish if you haven't' already gotten the new tank.

He's in the old tank for now, but I'm soon going to upgrade. It's all I have right now and he is doing great! He was in such a small cup at the pet store....so I'm pretty sure he thinks the tank is huge! LOL

Can you guess why I made the text purple? Well, that's right! He is a mostly purple fish! I love him already. While bringing him home, I just started calling him "Blue Boy". It's kind of sticking! That's his nickname for sure! I'll probably call him Bubbles or Pebbles or something close to that.

You should absolutely upgrade. Bettas should not be in anything smaller than a 5 gallon tank. They also need a filter and a heater.
Was the tank cycled before you put the new fish in?
