The bigger the pen you can give them the better.
I know some people may be stuck for space but its better to give one or two pairs a decent size rather than trying to keep 5 pairs in the pen of the same size.
Some of my pheasant pens are 30ft in length.
I keep Himalayan Monals, Koklass, Temmincks Tragopan, Cabots tragopan, Elliots, Blue eared, Reeves, Reds, Yellows, Amherest, Silvers, Cheers, Bornean Crested Firebacks, Indian blues, Whites peas.

World Pheasant association.
Aviary size is important to most species if they are to breed successfully, In the case of the smaller species, such as the golden pheasant, a minimum size of 3m long by 2m wide, plus a shelter 1m deep by 2m wide, will satisfy one pair and for the larger species, the minimum should be double that size. The Aviary should be at least 2m high to allow a person to walk around, the sides preferably, should be covered in galvanised wire of 25mm mesh, to keep out sparrows and other vermin, with at least 15cm sunk into the ground and a further 30cm coming out flat at right angles underground. This prevents rats and other mammals digging under the netting.

A friend of mine in Ireland has probably the biggest Pheasant set up in Europe.
He has every thing from Argus Pheasants to Malaysian Peacock pheasants and his pens are big which gives him better results.

Thank you for the info. I am hoping to expand these eventually. I have Goldens and Lady Amhersts right now. Got the wire buried today for half of the pen. Should be very resistent to "visitors". (I know better than to think it predator-proof.)

All my birds do great in a 6x12.I have impeyans, tragopans, blue and brown eareds, grey peacock, swinhoe, edwards, mikado, eliots, amherst, lewis silver, silver, and humes. The amherst tragopan, swinhoe, lewis silver and grey peacock set and raised chicks with 100% hatch.
I agree that pens should be bigger if you can do it.The more space the better.

Do you have a pair in each of the 6x12 pens?

I have pairs in mikado, impeyans, temminicks, grey peacock, swinhoe, humes bartail, brown eared, and lewis silver.I have a quad of edwards,a quad of amherst,a trio of eliots, and a trio of blue eared. There have been 3 more pens added since this picture was taken,so there are 14-6x12 pens in all.

I found this on the internet one day....... I would like to do something like this but with longer pens that come out from the center. Instead of a pen in the inside center I'd put a bench that I could store their feed and such in. Instead of solid walls towards the inside I would like to put tinted plexi glass so I can enjoy the view of birds from inside too. Thought about putting doors inside that I can lift to fill feeders. Right now just a dream... but maybe sometime in the near future.......
