I am not sure if this is the right place to put this. I hope it is ok.

I am just all happy because I have found a new outlet for my eggs. A local healthfood store wants 8 dozen a week!

I am just so pleased. Someone I sell to had extra and gave them to the store just as a gift and they liked the eggs so much that they want them regularly.

God has blessed me with my chickens I think.

So I am so happy with my hens that I told them I was getting them a whole bunch more mealworms. To reward them for laying so well.

I believe I will raise some of those mealworms for the hens.

In West Virginia you do. I have one.

It doesn't take much to get it, though. You pay the dept of ag a small fee, $10 I think, and fill out a little form. They want to know how many chickens you have, what kind they mainly are, that sort of thing.

They have the right to come and inspect my 'facilities' haha, but they never have.

The laws here are MUCH less stringent for a small producer like me than for the big guys. And you have to produce a gazillion eggs to be big. I do not remember how many but I will NEVER get there. Nor do I want to. What would be the fun?

And they told me I can sell anywhere; grocery stores, restaurants, individuals, whatever.

I am sure other states have different laws.

Yeah, over here I think it costs way more and they are pretty strict. Not sure why.

Anyway, I'm happy you can sell to the health food store!! Woot!
