Florence spotting the horse turned to Sterling who bent down and hooked his hands. Florence stepped into his interlocked hands bending her knee. Sterling withhis extra strength launched her into the air. Florence laughed loudly, having done this before, and landed hard onto the horses back. The horse startled by the sudden weight lunged to the side hitting Gar's side instead of head on. Florence reached forward grabbing the horses reins pulling the horse to a sliding stop. The horse snorted the white of his eyes showing and foaming at the mouth. Florence dismounted holding the reins slowly walking over to the front of the horse. She pressed her forehead to the horses face exhaling when the horse inhaled. The horse slowly began to calm down. Florence lifted the hem of her shirt wiping the horses mouth as Sterling walked up.

Gar grunted at the impact, landing hard on his backside, grateful for the pale haired Maid's acrobatic display. Half Dwarf he may be, but a full on collision from a horse would have not been kind to him. "Gar!" He blinked up at Tollia as she hovered protectively over him, bending at the waist and patting up his arm and down his side. Searching for broken bones. He lifted himself from the ground with a slight gasp, he was bruised badly, but he would heal. Tollia spun on her heels and looked at the two strangers and their horse. "You nearly killed him..." Gar touched the side of his face where his temple rang. "Not nearly killed, Tollia, just roughed up."

"Im sorry madam. We couldn't get to the right pace from the horse before this," Sterling said. As Florence continued comforting the horse cooing lovely words to the large beast. "Im sure my sister will apologize in a moment," He said glancing at Florence.

Kaydar stared at the haughty Elf for a moment, fighting back a snarl. He dropped the Elf, nearly chuckling as he landed in the mud. He pulled on the leather cord looped about his neck, a coin bag hanging from it. The cord it was on was very long, so in his dragon form it would dangle from just below his jaw. He pulled a huge golden coin from the bag, the face etched with an eye whose pupil was a diamond. He held it before the Elf's eyes, knowing it was the only language that a creature like him would understand. "Line your purse, eh? How would you like to line your purse with this? Give her to me and it is yours."

The horse made an excited whinny, taking the apple and munching away as she eyed the Pixie gratefully.

I have no idea what a knight would want with a mindless creature such as this. Well lets see I might be willing to let her go for... 2 of your gold coins. What say you knight?

Tollia shook her head, too preoccupied by Gar's injuries to truly react the way she normally would, instead she just picked up his russack from where it had fallen and hefted it onto her own back. Trust Gar to speak for her, he was always her diplomat. Sometimes she hated it. "It's alright, things are not always in our control. The horse must have just wanted to visit the town square." He offered a weak chuckle and Tollia turned back to look at the pair, her eyes instantly locking onto the fellow with the large gloves and hat. There was something about him, something strange. It was his eyes, something different, but she couldn't put a finger on what it was. An image flashed in her mind and she hissed in pain, a tremble running through her body as she stumbled into Gar. His arms circling her protectively, attempting to guard her from her own mind.

"Are you alright?" Sterling asked stepping forward as if to help in any way. Florence just had stopped with the horse. The horse's head lowered as he calmed down and knickered softly. Florence looked over at the pair and her brother. She tilted her head in question to what was going on.

Kaydar smirked, slipping the coin back into his bag and turning his back on the Elf. "I offered you coin for her and you dare to haggle with me? You will regret that." He walked back to the cage, his horse stepping back as he removed one of his gauntlets. He drew a line on his palm with one of his ivory claws. His blood bubbling and hissing as it emerged from the cut. He smiled as he pressed his blood to the steel bars, the metal melting at his touch.

As the fellow stepped closer Tollia opened her eyes, seeing a great pair of wings shimmering in the air behind him, a long maw and sharp teeth, glistening horns. She blinked and the image was gone and she trembled in Gar's embrace. What was he? "Tollia, Tollia, what do you see?" She mouthed the word dragon, unable to bring sound to her lips.

Sterling watched confused nkt very good at reading lips. "What is it?" He asked confused. Florence watched mot sure what was going on.

"Wait! I believe that I will take that gold coin!" But he realized that he was too late, that he had made a terrible mistake. He had not only lost a chance at a rare coin but lost his meal ticket as well. Despite his terror the thought of a sideshow performance involving blood melting steel crossed his mind. Quite a lot of coin to be had in that. He shook his head and allowed the thought to slip away, no way to keep that one chained.

Gardenia gasped, wondering what was to happen now. Thinking to herself that it couldn't be much worse than the last ten years of her life. She gathered all of her strength of body and mind and she leapt out of the cage. Darting towards the only kindness she had known since this nightmare had began. Keeper turned to her as she swung up onto his back, encircling her arms about his waist. He looked at her over his shoulder. "I feel that this shall be good, you shall be safe now." His voice was a whisper. She looked back at the stranger, her eyes watering. "Please, sir knight, can you help my friend?"

Tollia blinked, gripping Gar's arm. Her mind cleared and the feeling of terror subsided but as she looked at the young fellow the image rose again. Great ribbed wings spread wide and head held proud. It was a dragon that appeared in the air behind him, of within him. She could not truly tell, it was as though he and the dragon were one image. She stepped forward, Gar keeping his hand on her shoulder. She reached out to the fellow, but then noticed the people gathered about them. They had made a spectical, her episode, Gar being thrown to the ground. She could hear the snickering, see the mocking gazes. How she hated these people. She did not want to turn their attention to the strangers, she would spare them that. She would not have wished their attention on the worst of her enemies. Instead she stepped up close to the fellow, her voice low enough not to be heard by anyone but the two of them. "What are you?"
