"Our whole lives," Sterling answered for the both of them.

Tollia blinked, wondering how a Dragon could have lived so near and yet never caught her attention before. A thought struck her and she went for it, hoping she was making the right leap. "Did you see the golden Dragon flying above the town earlier today? Do you know him?"

((https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/the-lies-of-sayarks-past-character-page Just finished our character page if anyone wants to check it out, also updated my character profiles so that the TBR stuff wasn't there anymore. (and got rid of the vague pic of Kaydar). Anyone who wants is free to join in on our RP, we need more characters and/or players, lol. The world is a tad empty with just the four of us and our... eleven characters... at least I think there are eleven of us, lol.))

Sterling nodded. "I saw him and I have met him," he said. What he though of knowing someone was different from most views. He thought that knowing someone was growing up with them or knowing who they where for a long time.

Kaydar tried to ignore the squirming Younglings on his back. Ellayn had never wriggled like that. But then again she had never tried to hold onto a Centaur in mid-flight. A thought struck him and he smiled. "Do you by chance know where Qualair's castle is, Younglings?"

((Ack, I hate mobile... my quote failed, sorry Dusty. Lol))

Gardenia shook her head, enjoying the crisp feel of the wind on her face. Somewhere in the back of her mind she could recall a similar feeling. But as quickly as it came the vague memory was gone. "Is that where we are headed, Sire? Do you know someone there? If I once knew where the castle was I do not recall it now."

Tollia shook her head, having hoped that Sterling could tell her more. The golden dragon was the same one that she had seen in her dreams, she had to find out who he was. She readjusted her pack, glancing at Gar over her shoulder. He nodded when he met her eyes, knowing her well enough to guess her next move. "Can you tell us which direction he was headed, perhaps where he was going? We have to find him."

Kaydar grunted in response, wondering how much he should share with these Younglings. Best not to let them know his true intent, not yet. Perhaps never. He felt a prideful thrill at being called Sire again and it angered him. He was not supposed to be prideful, he had no right. "Yes, that is our destination. I am seeking my son, it has been many years since we have last.... spoken. There are things that I wanted to... clear up with him. But I cannot do that until we find the palace. Pray tell, do you know where I could find that information?"

Keeper spoke up now, his voice soft. "I had overheard the Elves talking about a place called Puralay, there was much wealth to be made there. They said there was a fortress there, could that be your castle?"

Kaydar thought for a moment, the mare silent in his arms, the wind billowing beneath his massive wings. With a slight tilt of his wings he was shooting toward the canopy below, closing his wings tight to his side as he parted the branches. He snapped his wings open once more before colliding with the ground, landing neatly on his hind legs. He felt the Younlings sliding off of his back and he positioned his tail so that they slipped down it and landed at his powerful feet. He set the horse down beside them, shifting back to his biped form. He searched the satchel behind the horse's saddle and pulled out a set of clothing that would hide his wings and claws. There was nothing to hide his torn ears, but his long white hair made the strangeness of them hard to detect. He donned the cloak with a flourish, looking to the Younglings. "I know the place well, or I did once. It isn't the palace I seek, but someone there may know of it's whereabouts." He swung up onto his saddle, guiding the mare back onto the path at a quick pace.
