Lucas smiled, glad that his greed had not gotten the better of him. He sat down upon a large rock at the edge of the pond, stripping off his boots and letting his feet dangle in the water. He loved the calm of this place, the beauty of it. It amazed him that such a fine jewel could be hidden within the wood. Seemingly untouched by any creature save the jewel like fish. He closed his eyes, laying back on the stone and letting himself slip I to a dream.
Seeing that Lucas was asleep, T'lan let her gaurd down. Her face showed sadness as she watched him. T'lan writhed she could relax like that, not have to worry about killing everything she touched. She was cursed to cause pain, but she didn't want that. She stared up at the sky longingly, lost in her thoughts.

((Lol, then you are Lady Dragaca.. why do you have such a hard user name to spell? *anguished cry* Sounds awesome except for one detail, there are Dwarf Maids, lol. "They have shaggy hair and beards, the Maids have long sideburns that they either curl or braid depending on the fashion of the time." Think long flowing mutton chops, kind of like a horse's main or tail. Broad nose, wide cheeks, 'squat' face, bulky build, broad shoulders.))

Here are some pics of what they look like.

((I'll add your pics and descriptions the next time I get back to a real comp, (now I want to get pics for the other cities too, lol) life has been really busy. What with planning my wedding, catching the flu, getting two new baby silkies, trying to build a chicken coop, moving in to our new house, etc. rofl))

Lucas shifted in his sleep, a dream playing in his mind. He was surrounded by fire, dancing amidst a storm of light and heat. He laughed madly, racing back and forth in the heart of the deadly storm. A smile played on his lips and he shifted again, sliding to the edge of the rock. He chuckled in his sleep, his body starting to fall over the edge and into the pool.

Thanks! Btw, a Dragapacacorn is a dragon alpaca unicorn (long story). So it's like this: Drag(Dragon)apaca(alpaca)corn(unicorn). Drag-apaca-corn. Dragapacacorn. You can just call me Helga. It's my band nickname because I play trombone and baritone.

T'lan saw him tipping, and instinctively to catch him. Luckily for Lucas, T'lan's hands went under the water, extinguishing them. T'lan shrieked in pain, shoved Lucas back up onto the rock and tucked her hands on her lap, leaning over them

Stacie walked out of her small-but-cozy forest cabin. She leaned against the porch rail, looking out into the woods. She sighed. Stacie had been making it so far by herself, but now—she wanted a friend. Loneliness was taking over her life. But what could she do about it? I can tell you one thing for sure, I'm not going back to my father. She thought. The young teenager walked off of the porch and into her little stable, where her horse, a milking cow, and some chickens were at. Stacie went over to her horse who was standing in his stall, nibbling hay off of the floor. She pat his muzzle when he lifted his head. "You're lonely too, aren't you?" she muttered to him. "Probably not. You have Bessy, and the roosters and hens to keep you company." she said, walking over to where his side-saddle and bridle were hanging. She picked his saddle up, walked into his stall, threw it over his back and girthed him up. Then she put his bridle on, led him out of the barn and mounted the dapple-grey stallion. They rode down the little path that led to her cabin.
Stacie nudged her horse a couple times and they galloped off into the forest, running across the small dirt path. She didn't know where she was going, but it had to lead to somewhere. Anywhere where she would find someone. The stallion continued to gallop and jumped over a log. He whinnied, making himself known to anyone that was nearby.

Lucas shot awake at the scream of pain, leaping to his feet and looking for the danger. When he saw T'lan huddled over her lap he darted to her side. "T'lan?!" He reached to touch her shoulder, concern filling his gaze. The sound of a horse's whinny filling his ears.

( Thank you! )

Ellayn clutched her head between her hands, the memories tearing through her mind. They were foggy and far, she could not truly make them out. Then like a flash one of those memories rose in her mind, clear as crystal and devoid of pain. It was the D'Jinn, the same one that she road behind now. He was smiling at her, saying so.ethinf she could not understans, another language perhaps? She could not tell. But one thing was certain, there was love in his eyes, and the memory evoked love in her as well. She opened her eyes, staring up at his narrow back, clothed in the fine cloak that they had stolen. Who was he to her? She bit her lip, her voice a little more timid than she would have liked, she hated weakness and timidity was a large weakness in her book. "Do we.... k ow each other?" He twisted so as to look at her over his shoulder, his face no longer the Elvish mask. She did not know how he had changed his skin before and he had not truly told her when she had asked, all he had said was that it wouldn't last long. His eyes softened and he frowned, his watery brows bunching together. "I'm sorry, if I did know you I would not be able to recall, my curse you see... But if it helps, you... feel familiar to me. And I do not have this feeling often." She looked up at him, searching for that feeling in his eyes and she found it. A soft glow, a familiar glow. Another memory struck her and she gasped. She was in his arms, spinning, an elegant gown wrapped around her body, he is a green suit that matched her eyea. Twirling and twisting, tightly pressed together as they crossed a great marble dloor. "I know you...." She murmured too softly for him to hear, silently adding 'it seems that I know you quite well.' She trembled at the goose flesh rising on her arms, the memory had been strong. Sound, scent, feeling, she had not had such a vivid flash before. She buried her face in his cloak, the scent of him cool and comforting. "We need to find somewhere to rest, I see a cabin up ahead. Does that sound alright with you, Ellayn?" His voice was steady, apparently he felt no such surges of recollection. She offered a weak "Yes." Hating herself for the sou d of it. But she had gotten back a piece of her past, a very important one nd she was determined to cling to it. Nal'T slipped off of the horse, grasping her about the waist and lifting her down as well. He tied the horse to a branch within a well sheltered cospe, silently walking up to the cabin door. He knocked and when no one answered he opened his water flask. Ellayn watched in amazement as a tendril of water rose from it, going into the lock and swishing around until she heard a faint click. The water returned to the flask and Nal'T secured the cap back onto it. He took her hand, slipping inside the cozy little woodlands cabin.

Nal'T looked around the cozy cabin, smiling at all the little things that marked it as a home. All the personal items, the touches that took a loving heart to create. He watched as Ellayn slid into a comfy looking chair, falling asleep before he could cross over to her. He swept the hair back from her face, wondering again why she felt so familiar to him. He sat on the floor beside her, hoping that the owner of the cabin would not return anytime soon. He took her hand, pressing it to his cheek and relishing in the strange feeling of familiarity. He too slipped off to sleep, still holding her hand to his face and leaning against the chair.

Lucas shot awake at the scream of pain, leaping to his feet and looking for the danger. When he saw T'lan huddled over her lap he darted to her side. "T'lan?!" He reached to touch her shoulder, concern filling his gaze. The sound of a horse's whinny filling his ears.
T'lan looked up at him, dark crisisimon lava flowing down her face like tears. Her eyes burned with fury. "Leave." She said firmly.
