They will not get too hot until you reach 38C or hotter! I don't think you have much to worry about there! Pellets are a bit big for 3 week olds. If they can even swallow it, it could impact their crop. Is it a 28-30% pellet? The highest protien pellet I can find is a 20% layer which is too low of protien for poults.
