New predator

Came home late last night & did a head count on my flock. Everyone but my lavender guinea hen was accounted for. Was really sad about that. Went out this morning to feed & still didn't see her. No feathers or anything. Picked up a bucket and there she was! Wind must've blown it over and captured her. Don't know how long she was under there but she is ok. Whew!

Glad you found her and she's ok. Bet she'll stay clear of buckets.

I watched a hen do that to herself. Hopped up on the rim of an empty bucket, it flipped up and came right down over her. It happened rather fast, but i would have thought a guinea would have been faster than my fat old hen (not my wife, even though the term may have been loving used at some point)
