Yes it is. If you got one for $2.00 you got a steal! I got mine from some hatching eggs back in march. They still have not laid yet. My Modern Game Bantams started laying at 6 months old.

thanks mark and I got the ag man for our dist.and our county agent both today comformed that it is a sumatra hen and we got in the same bunch a black brested phoenix rooster and matching hen full sized all three for 2 dollars each man what a great day missed 3 buff braham and was sick we just bid on them thinking that thay were bantomsmy son joey wanted to start some and thanks agine for getting back to me mark we wil try to get some pic`s up if we can get the camra going how I got the ag guy in was that im trying to get some eastern wild turkeys going and he had came by to help

It will be a couple of generations breeding them to get what I want out of them. When I get some to the type I want and get a good start of them breeding I will sell some hatching eggs from them. Right now I only have 2 Sumatra bantam pullets, 2 Sumatra bantam cockerels, and 2 Showgirl cockerels to start this project. Darn coons killed 6 of them when I was in the hospital this summer.

Are you sure that isn't prehistoric?

The prehistoric look is what I am striving for. When I get my naked neck Sumatras looking like I want, I am going to cross them with some Shamo or Malay that I plan to get next year and make a super tall Dino chicken. I want to create a chicken that looks like an Indiogigante like this one.

but Naked Neck and purple skin.
