NEW PULLETS LOWER BEAK.

Hello again as in my post I have 6 new pullets 16 weeks old. Their lower beak seems to be growing past their upper beak. At first I thought they may have had their beaks clipped at the hatchery. But now under closer examination I’m thinking they just haven’t been outside and had an opportunity to wear their beaks down. The upper beaks seem to be formed ok, no blunt cut off as I remember seeing on chickens when I was a kid. 50 pulse years ago.
Please have a look at the pictures of 2 of them, the rest are the same and let me know your thoughts. I keep my birds in a portable setup and they are allowed to free range through the day. I also put a few cement pavers in their portable pen. My other birds always sharpened their beaks on the pavers.

@aart Have these beaks been cut? The bottom ones are longer.

They look like they have an underbite!
Wait, they don't have literal jaws. Forget what I said.
Then again, maybe they have underbeaks… Hm.

To me, both look like they may have had a break at some point to the tip of the upper beak. It should continue to grow out but it may take some time. Unless they are having difficulty feeding and drinking I think I would do nothing and give them some time to grow out. The addition of the pavers is a good idea and will let them hone it themselves. Given a few months to grow they may look normal again.
