I was thinking I better get the nests ready, but looking on here I understood that Americanas don"t start laying until 20 to 24 weeks. Well to my suprise they started at between 16 and 17 weeks. Have production blacks too and got one from them too. By the way I told a gal Friday night that got hers 3 weeks later than mine to get nests set up. And I just got mine in today after they layed. Day late and a dollar short again. Oh, only got 3 out of 17 but they are going now. Cool or what???? Thanks everyone for help on here.

WOHOOO!!!! I have 5 hens now this week doing the"squat"!! So hopefully I will be as happy as you next week!
