I recently (2 weeks ago) acquired 6 pullets that are currently 23 weeks old. Only one is laying. Should the others be laying soon? My first flock started at 19 weeks and by 23 weeks, all 12 were laying. This group is 2 New Hampshires, 2 Barred Rocks and 2 NH/Australorp mixes.

Different pullets get started at different times - sometimes as long as 28-30 weeks. Be patient, they will start at some point.

so many factors that affect egg laying, breed, temparature, feed, stress etc. I am waiting on some 20 week olds as well and it is driving me crazy

::sigh:: If it's the stress of moving, it's not going to get better soon. 2 more weeks and they'll be integrated with the 18 month olds, so that will be stress all over again.
