New Pup not sure what he is? Newfie, Lab, Coliie...???

I got this puppy from a friend who found him on the side of the road. He is the sweetest little fella, but I am not sure what he is. Some say Chow, although he does not have a black tongue. His hair is slightly curly, and his tail is real thick. He is a very husky pup. Does anyone have any ideas what this cute fella might be?

I would have to say, from the pics, he might be golden retriever border collie mix. He has the hair type and the broad husky body of a golden, but he has the black coat and the whimsical look of a border collie. Of course this is only a guess, but that is what I see. He is adorable, by the way. Have fun with him.

I think he is showing Newfie influence, too. His eyes still look pretty blueish, so he can't be very old. He is such a cute little stinker!

He is very young. He does still have the blue eyes, and he is very uncoordinated and clumsy yet. I'm thinking he is barely 9 weeks old if that, but he is huge.
