Also, if you're selling something, you have to be willing to share your location... So requiring it for that section doesn't seem unreasonable.

Until someone actually commits to buying...I usually use a town next to me for location. Incredibly private here. (maybe extreme)

Here's another fun example of a spammer's reply to the "why did I join BYC" question:

"I have a belief that I get rich out of a single bird of any kind if I have the knowledge! And its true, knowledge is the money, the Capital, the drive etc. All i need is the will!"
