Diesel bug has been around for a while. It is somewhat prevalent in Australian remote rural fuel supplys. Where turnover and best practice is spotty at best. Less of an issue these days as people get out and about more and there is less long term storage fuel dumps sitting idle for long periods.

That's why I loathe to cite Wikipedia. So often it's a loathsome opinion piece rather than an honest attempt at impartial information source.
