Aaaand since I got your attention, are there any other sci-fi or steampunk goodies possible? Besides the cyborgs?

I dunno. Steam-powered animals or droid suits. Grid Games, giant robots, flying pirate ships. Fantastical and impossible things or just really, really advanced stuff. Maybe humans with animal DNA (if that's okay with everyone.) no morphing just mostly for looks and abilities.

Um... well, I'll add cyborgs because the government could have turned certain kids into cyborgs for their work. The story starts five years after the kidnapping, so the government could have also experimented on some of the kids, infusing DNA, etc. I'm trying to keep this sorta logical, but you know how that always turns out!

Hey, «Heroes» was supposed to be simirealistic. Like, teens volunteering for Redcross or helping out at homeless shelters. They just happened to have wings and horns and such.

But alas, we have now killed more people than we can count, burned a building, been incarcerated, gifted some sacred weapons, flown to New Zealand, discovered an underground city, waged war, yadda yadda yadda.
