I got this new cockerel ( 11 month old buff orpington) from a Neighbor. A Bit of back story; ( he was getting picked on in her flock and the even bloodied his comb) He fit right in , I had put him in a cage inside the coop so everyone could meet him first . Well one day while in this isolated place he got out while feeding him and I had to chase him and it was scary for him.
well he is doing great now that he’s out with everyone, however he shakes his head at me every time I talk to him. Now I can check him for ear mites etc, but I never ever see him do this unles I’m talking to him . Otherwise he’s normal.
is this just fear and anxiety or is he challenging me to a duel? What do you think?
