new roo

Hi everyone, kind of new here. I got 5 RIR hens that are about 21 weeks old a few weeks ago. Today I decided on getting a Roo, he's about 6 months old. They been in the pen together today and he jumps on my hens once in awhile. Looks like he bits them on the back. Is this normal?

thanks, I figured it was normal, been raising goats for years and the bucks do the same to the does when they are in the "mood". I hope he lets them in the coop tonight.

I too have five hens and am going to pick up my new roo tonight!!! Altho I'm keeping them seperate for a few til they are accustomed to eachother esp since my girls are only 13 weeks old and not quite "mature" yet.
