My husband and I's project for the day was building a new roost and feeder and water! Total cost was only $15 because we had most stuff laying around just had to buy the pic pipe. Tell me what you think!

I'd be a bit concerned about the sharp edges on the feeder. Was there a reason such big holes are cut in the orange bucket? What about wind driven rain? I would have kept the feed bucket in tact except the point of PVC entry and then just cut a "head hole" in the side of the bucket. As it stands, you might have chickens jumping INTO the feed bucket causing quite a mess. Nice job though!

The rain can't get to it the coop is under an awning so no rain can get to it at all, the bucket was already pretty cut up when we got it, so we just worked with what we had. I plan on putting another piece of pvc on the end of the pipe, so we can get rid of the bucket eventually. We just didn't want to spend a ton of the pvc before knowing if we could even make a feeder with it. Thanks for the thoughts! Yea they have been jumping in the bucket, no mess yet but we are watching out for that
