New rooster not doing his "job"... any advice... help!

It is my experience (as in real life), the hen chooses which rooster she wants. Does the roo call the hens to food distributed, and do they come running. I might try another roo to see if you get the wanted results. He may be a "don't ask, don't tell" roo. l o l

My kiln is teeny tiny, and I still have one of those crazy microwave ones. That's why I mostly do blasting and cold leaded work.

The other roo that was in with these previously didn't have any problems on his end... and I had fertile eggs... but he's the wrong breed of roo for this particular project.

I love Renaissance Glass... we lived really really close (almost walking distance close) to that store before we moved out here. I have taken lessons at Image Stained Glass, Blue Moon Glassworks and Helios Glass Studio... Austin is booming with glass classes

. I started in stained glass (I made mostly copper foil suncatchers) and then got completely hooked on fusing. My first kiln was an Evenheat Hot Box... they are small kilns... but I love them and I have 5 of them in my studio now... I use them more often than my big kilns! I've never tried the microwave ones. Sandblasting is sooooo much fun... I really want a set up for my studio!

perhaps putting him alone out of sight and sound for a few days will rile him up a little bit? also pending on the weather if its still cold and nasty where you are perhaps nobodys in the mood.

I lived at 4907 Shoal Creek Blvd. for many years. Worked at RenCo for about 8 years, at Upper Crust Bakery for 10 years or so, off and on.

Our roo usually gets our girls behind the coop. I've read that roosters may not mate in the presence of more dominant roosters or humans. Maybe he just thinks you're dominant?

Heck, he's French, he should have romanced those ladies a long time ago!
