Hi all,
I’m in a bit of a pickle. I have a flock of about 13 including one rooster and the only baby we allowed to catch has turned out to be a rooster (he’s about 6 months old) I’m not sure where to go from here. The rooster had started to chase him and he was hiding up the other end of the coop. I’ve seperated them now and he’s currently in our big cat enclosure (without the cats lol) Should I keep him and try and re home the old boy or visa versa? He’s a sweet thing who LOVES his food and is great with the kids but I’m wondering if that will change when he gets older

welcome to BYC
the new boy will be a while before you really know how he'll be with humans. but since he was in the pen with the rest of the flock he probably has a pretty good idea of how to treat the girls. if you had a separate coop you could give him a few of his own girls and see how he is once he's a little older.
