New Rooster

I have recently brought in a new youngish rooster to my youngish flock of 3. How long will it be until they start mating? When I introduced them it wasn't very welcoming is this normal?

If he is old enough, has the hormones, he will want to mate almost right away, though the girls may not let him. It is quite normal for the current flock not to accept a new chicken immediately. They have to sort out their new pecking order. If blood is not drawn, just let them work it out.
