I think he is probably a mix. His plumage looks to be sliver laced and Wyandottes are the most common breed with silver lacing. However he has a single comb rather than a pea comb of the Wyandotte. Although other breeds could be sliver laced, they are not common.

OP's roo is a mix, likely a mix of mixes. Probably straight combed birds, and something with white legs. Marans and Orpingtons are the first breeds that come to mind with those traits, and I don't see any Orp build, so he's likely got some Marans blood somewhere in there. Other than that, no breeds are really jumping out.

So how would it work if he breeds with my hens? I have 3 Ida browns and 2 barred rocks? Would they just be mixed too?
