"I'm hunting." He responded defensively -though his voice lacked a harsh tone-, and looked down at the Rockennuff "What's it to you?"
"Your people don't belong here. You don't understand. He, he was my friend." She said anger in her voice. "He was my family." She looked at the dead rabbit at his feet.

River paused for a moment, this boy was acting like they knew each other, even though they had only met minutes before, she walked at his side nevertheless. She ran her eyes over him in slight distrust, but finally relaxed "Okay." she said, and a small chuffing sound came from behind them "Trodaire," River said, not taking her eyes off Forest. All the sudden a black he-wolf came up to River`s side, glaring at Forest, she sighed "Forest, this is Trodaire." Trodaire continued to glare at Forest and he flicked his ears at him, then at River and gave a guttural huff. River responded by flicking her hands and jerking her head towards behind them, then continued to look ahead. Trodaire gave what seemed to be a nod and gave a small woof, but his body relaxed a little. River looked down at the wolf "Trodaire, your scouting mission, how did it go?" Trodaire flicked his tail and gave several short howl like barks, and River turned to Forest to translate "He covered the area and and deer herd has moved on, there is a fierce girl guarding the rabbit warren, and he thinks a group of four deer are at the hills, a buck and three does most likely."
" im down for the deer." He ran his fingers through his dark curly hair." We will have to hurry though, it will be dark soon and the woods here at night has been strange after dark. There have been earth trimmers." his brow furrowed and he looked a bit concerned.

I watched for you in the night
You were my light
When the stones grew dark
Your were my stars

Emerald sang to herself as she wandered the aisles, arms spread out to graze the books within the shelves. Her eyes stared off in the distance, gazing into a world which she could not see, fantasising about people she could not meet.

For you~
Are my sky
And you
Were my sight

She wasn't sure what a 'sky' was, or stars for that matter. Maybe just one of those songs she didn't know the words to. Then something glanced across her face, and stopped. As she blinked back into reality, she wiped the dust from her fingertips before mushing them into her eye sockets. What in UnderEarth was that?

She glanced up.
In the pitch of the library roof, a single window sparkled with something. Light? But this was a different color.
Emmy glanced around. How could she get up there? The authorities wouldn't be checking on her for another hour, where was the wheely ladder? Maybe she could climb the shelves?

Definitely.

Thirteen shelves, she counted as she made her way up. As her hand touched the top shelf, dust flew up to dance into the new light. She threw one leg over the edge, but suddenly felt a tickle in her nose. Oh no.

The man stiffened up, still bent over the fox. Slowly, he turned his eyes over to glare at the boy. One eye piercing, the other stony. Silence fell.
No fear whatsoever enters into Lance, this was his domain after all, he flicks an ear. "So are you going to eat him, or are you killing for sport?" He smiles to show his canines, and he lashes his tail slowly, in anticipation. His left hand still grips the handle of one of his axes, but harder, the other hand casually in his pocket, slowly he runs his fingers through his hair.
