They mentioned the chickens are only 7weeks old = no eggs before that grass is a goner. My chickens just seem MUCH happier digging through mulch than they do with grassSo that the chickens can eat the grass, I presume.
I love the rich color and flavor that egg yolks have when the chickens have access to plenty of greens so I won't cover up the grass in my new coop until I need to.![]()

I let em eat the grass down first for no other reason than the chooks seem to enjoy it and it dont hurt anything.
