New Run is Finally Done!

Finally after several weekends of digging holes, cementing posts, cutting boards, hammering nails and fingers the new coop and run are complete. Not sure if the chickens appreciate all of the features as much as we do... here's a few pictures just to share.

What kind and how many will be living in there? Are those outdoor roosts ? how high are they? <giving me ideas>

Those roosts you see in the pictures are actually inside of the run, although that's a good idea I'll have to take a look at that. I made the run about 8 feet tall and the roosts are about 2 feet apart. They are arranged like a ladder with the bottom rung spaced out farthest from the fence and the top rung closest to the fence so the chickens can jump from one to the other. We do have two roosts outside of the run since we let our chickens free range some. Couple of good sized branches nailed between a couple of trees about 4 feet off the ground, they always are using those, and they cost nothing.
 
I'm jealous. I want to expand our coop/run next spring. Think I'll show hubby your pics!
