New Sebbie gosling *Pic*

Our first sebbie gosling hatched yesterday afternoon, and she was the only one to hatch. We don't have any more due to hatch for almost a week and a half. Should I just try and raise her by herself, or should I see if one of my two pairs of sebbies will take her?

She is so adorable...If it was me I would be raising it myself until the next lot hatch... No way I could give that back to the parents.

Was she hatched in an incubator?? You geese may not be so willing to take her if they arent broody or sitting themselves. I have a lone muscovy here at the moment patiently awaiting some more ducklings to hatch. She has been 10 days on here own now- but only a few more to go. She is a very quiet little thing - but not all lone babies can handle things so well. Be ready for a very demanding baby if you choose to raise her, and plenty of entertainment and joy from the experience as well.

Well the introduction didn't go well at all, so with us she shall stay! (Not that my husband is too disappointed about this

) He loves a baby gosling following him around the yard. Baby Cleo is fairly quiet, so hopefully it will be smooth sailing!

How many others didn't make it?? So sorry about that.

You should just raise her inside. I wouldn't risk bringing her outside with the others. You will do a better job at being mommy.

I'm in the same boat-LOL! It's hard raising a single gosling-they are very demanding! Being flock animals and spending every waking moment with their parents they expect the same of you! I had a very early baby and no duckling or chick for it's companion-just me!
