new sexing idea!

i traditionally look at a wing to sex a day oled chick.(the method of splaying the wing and checking the rows of feathers. one tall row with a short row in between is a female and twotall rows is a male.) but i recently came upon a new method. when you lift your chick up by the head, if the legs stick straight down, it is a male. if the chick curls its legs up, its a female. its worked for me. try it!

I'd rather not do this as it sounds cruel. None of the actual sexing methods that require you to hold the chicks in certain ways seem to be accurate.

I tried it and the next day the chick died from a broken back. My DH swears I killed it, and I cant say I diddnt. I will not do it again.
