I have a silkie rooster and one of his feet has 6 toes. I've got 8 chicks he fathered in three different hens one a silver lace wyandotte, one an americauna Rhode island cross and the other straight americauna. All 8 chicks have the 5 toes of the silkie though none got their fathers 6th toe mutation. The chicks arec2 months old now. I know this is an old thread I'm resurrecting but after realizing my roo was a mutant I found this thread while looking for info on it.
