We just picked up our fourth baby chick. because we live in town, we can only have a few. We are getting different breeds to have a very unique flock. Meet Winnie! She’s a blue Silkie...she has been following around our (3wk old) Silver Phoenix. We held our Barham hen that is six wks old and held the baby underneath her and if you zoom in on the picture, that little baby chick is so happy she’s sleeping— We do not leave her alone with them at all. And she sleeps in her own brooder at night.

Cute! I love Silkie chicks!!! You have a darling little flock!

I have a mixed flock, too, for aesthetics (Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, White Cochin, Buff Brahma, Welsummer, Splash Silkie, Black Silkie, Silver Sebright). Pure yard candy! Next on my list: Gold Laced Polish, Speckled Sussex, Rumpless Aracauna!
