Such cuties!I still have silkie chicks hatching so these babies range from 1 week to 1 day old. There are 2 pictures of each chick. I currently have 8 babies. My hens still have 8 eggs that have little chicks moving around inside.
My satin hen didn’t successfully hatch any of her eggs so no satin babies this time around.
These babies are full Silkie. I just figured I’d post them here instead of starting a new thread.Such cuties!
Are these full silkie or silkie/cochin mix?
What mixed look like lolThese babies are full Silkie. I just figured I’d post them here instead of starting a new thread.
Depending on what they are mixed with, it’s hard to tell the difference, especially right away. My satins are born looking like silkie chicks until their feathers come in. Even then my satin hatches silkies too since the Roo is a Silkie and she’s half Silkie herself. Obviously they are still mixed but it can get confusing. I tag chicks from my satin before they get moved to the brooder if I have silkies at the same time.Gotcha
I'm trying to see
