New silkies

Well I finished the coop and run and picked up 4 silkies about 3 months old. They seem to love their home, hanging out inside but how long will it take for them to venture into the run? I grab them and bring them out to sit with the kids but when they are done they immediately head inside. Are there some treats that I can put out for them, was worried about tomatoes and the like because they are so young. Please help I feel like I am doing something wrong.
I can understand being taken away from mom and getting used to their new environment

Chickens are like that. Then one day, one will look out the door, take a step, and never look back. The rest will follow.

After a week, try moving the water dish outside.

My chickens have always eaten tomatoes, leaves, sprouts, and fruit.
