My little tank has a clamp on lid and I was planning on bolting on a stock tank float. They are box arrangements and they mount with clamps on the side or you can get fancy and fasten them directly to the lid. They run about fourteen dollars at the feed store. The only thing I don't like about them is they attach with a hose and the hose has to come up and out of the top. I like yours because it attaches through the side of the tank so you can keep the integrity of the lid in tact and you dont have to disconnect anythihng to open and clean the tank.
