The ladies got to hear rain on the tin roof of their coop for the first time. I don't think they were thrilled. I work night shift, so was sleeping most of today, but woke up around 3pm and went out to check on them. They were all huddled in a corner and didn't even come running for treats! I was worried they were cold, but I had the heat lamp on in a different corner, and they weren't in that one, and when I shooed them out trying to get them to go to the heat lamp they just settled in another, non-heat lamp corner. So of course, being the good mother hen that I am I sat in there with them for awhile, and my little favorite (Janice, BO) snuggled in my lap and they all seemed OK. They spread out a little bit, less huddling and diving under each other when I was there. I am assuming they were just afraid of the sound and not cold. They have a lot of their feathers in and have been in the coop for over a week now. First rain though
