Hello all,

I am new to this (like, very), but just got done calling around where I could think to call to ask about Guinea Hens (based on the recommendation of a http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1031163 thread on tick populations exploding). Thus far I've hit sort-of a brick-wall locally, but I did find a number of resources online.

I'd like to talk with anyone from this suburbia area (I'm in Pompano Beach) about the Guinea, or another choice, for a backyard natural-type of insect control, and possibly some eggs.

Thus far I can't find a place that sells them locally, and I have heard that ordering them usually means one has to order a minimum of six (which is way too many, and going to attract attention).

Best,

Dave

You can look in our Buy/Sell auctions to find what you need. You can also search the guinea forum for information. They ARE great about tick control!

If you're looking for something that won't attract attention Guineas are the wrong choice. They are MUCH louder than roosters and are quite obnoxious in my opinion. If you want something to keep in the city you should try a few hens. They'll also be easier to find.
