New squeaker fostering.

Theres a new squeaker that needs fostering. I also have a brand new nest that is about to get eggs laid in it. Can I put the squeaker and the egg thats about to hatch in the new nest and those parents care for it? How does fostering even work?

id say give the older squeaker its own nest, as the two hatching ones will be competing in the nest enough, as well as the squeker could hurt them by accident, and seen bigger ones push smaller ones out and smother them), but all parents of mine seem to feed any other bird that begs, even the injured toed, footed, and legged adults.
