ok.my goal is to get a squat photo of quality. ive got 3 that are squating like crazy for my 4 yr old son. quite funny.

I never got a squat, but they got REALLY REALLY loud. They just stood around bawking like they were hungry all day.

I just got the squat from a 3+ year old, for the first time. I think she's slowing down.

She just started crowing too.

I was confused about the squat and wondered if I would know it when I saw it. When I put my hand on their back to pet them, they would squat, but it wasn't overt. The day before I got my first egg (just a few days ago!), when I opened the door to the run, my black star chicken dropped to the ground in The Most Obvious Squat I ever could have imagined. I don't know if she's doing the laying, though.

A few of the others seemed to squat at the exact same time. Especially one of my leghorns. Every time she sees me, she drops to the ground. I have come to think of it as "drop-squatting." Think of what you see in the movies when someone enters a room wielding a gun and everyone in the room drops to the floor. It's a lot like that.

Also, combs and wattles turned super red and super big.
