new stock tank

I just bought my 4 pekins a 50 gallon stock tank because they could barely fit in their kiddy pool. they are terrified to go in it. it’s partially in the ground so they don’t have a steep ramp or anything. any pointers to get them in it?

All ducks are afraid of anything new. If you can try and get them to the ramp you might try meal worms or some other type of tasty treat to get them started. Or it may just take time for them to get brave enough to check it out. You could also try putting one in and see how that goes. Just be ready to grab if they try and jump out the wrong side. I put up fencing around mine to the ramp on each side to keep mine from coming out other than at the ramp.
