Mario, are these Zoophobas morio? If so, great idea marketing them for chickens, much larger and more appropriately sized for chickens than mealworms. They have been marketed to the reptile breeder community for many years, but a chicken can consume way more of these than a lizard will.

Yes they are, and thank you. I've noticed most of my customers are people who have chickens. Which was a surprise to me since I was aiming towards the reptile industry.

do supers breed like mealworms? I used to get them for my bearded dragon - supposedly they are healthier for reptiles anyways. I'm going to start a colony and I'll need to decide which one to get.

They are like mealworms when it comes to breeding them. The only difference is how they pupate. Mealworms do it on their own vs. superworms you have to isolate and stress them out.
